I am writing the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to ask for consideration of the protection of important watersheds in the Bering Sea-Western Interior (BSWI) planning area.
I request that the BLM create a more balanced plan that includes conservation and the balance of multiple uses in this planning area, which is home to wildlife, fish resources and the people that depend on these resources for their livelihood.
In order for BLM to succeed in balancing the multiple uses, areas of critical environmental concern and high value watersheds must be withdrawn from mining and have limited, if any, construction of new roads and transmission lines or digging and building for mining or oil and gas development. Impacts to subsistence must be minimized for the wellbeing of future generations. I favor Alternative B.
