Urge the Bureau of Land Management to retain Alaska’s ANCSA 17 D-1 Public Land Protections before February 14, 2024.

The BLM is currently accepting public comments on the ANCSA 17 D-1 Environmental Impact Statement that is analyzing whether or not to retain, modify, or eliminate existing land protections that currently prevent different forms of mining across nearly 28 million acres in Alaska.

The leaders of the Tanana Chiefs Conference, Kawerak, and the Association of Village Council Presidents have all joined the Bering Sea Interior Tribal Commission in advocating that BLM retain all the D-1 public land order protections. Now is the time to make your view known.
